The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University

The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University is a large public tertiary general hospital in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. Founded in 1941, it was originally known as the Affiliated Hospital of the School of Medicine of National Yunnan University.

The hospital combines clinical treatment, medical education, scientific research, disease prevention, emergency medicine, public-health response, and specialised healthcare services. It operates through the Xichang Road Campus and Chenggong Campus, covering a combined construction area of more than 500,000 square metres.

Its clinical infrastructure includes over 2,500 beds and numerous clinical and medical-technology departments. The hospital also operates national and provincial key specialties, quality-control centres, clinical medical centres, research institutions, and recognised training programmes for medical professionals.
