Cikitsa International is a concern of Cikitsa BD. Authorized by Company Act 1994, Bangladesh. Cikitsa International also known as CI is a Medical value travel facilitator (MVTF) is engaged in providing assistance in medical services in international medical institutions.

How we provide the services

To provide seamless services, we offer a dedicated App and portal integrated with all service-providing hospitals and agents. All services are connected to a central local data server kept in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 

Permissions we may require

Some of our services are designed to let you upload, submit, store, send, receive or share your content. You have no obligation to provide any content to our services but these content/documents are vital for our service assurance. If you choose to upload or share content, please make sure that you have the necessary rights to do so and that the content is lawful.

  • If you are a doctor you have to provide your information to us like- Your full name,  photograph,  gender, academic certificate, BMDC Number for Bangladeshi Doctors-(Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council ),If you are a foreign doctor you have to submit your local registration number which you given from your government authority (For International doctor need NMC – National Medical Commission Number, experience, chamber. You agree to provide such information as we will be publicly accessible on our website and app. We need to know your confidential information like -Passport Number, E-mail Address, Mobile number for our internal staffs/employees or employers

How Do We Collect Information

We collect this information,

  • directly from you when you share it with us.
  •  automatically as you use our application or visit the website.  Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and other tracking technologies.
  • Use GPS technology to collect real-time information about the location of your device so that the platform can connect you to a healthcare professional who is licensed or authorized to provide services in the territory where you are located. You must agree to the Google Terms of Services and Privacy Policy when you use Google Maps through our platform.
  • About your client or patient’s data/information, the app/website will collect all relevant information as per our information collection policy.
  • Client/Patient data will be used for further use by professionals and health care providers. 
  • Your clients/patients’ data will be collected as you put their information in our app/website for any service request in the same manner we collect other information.
  • From third parties, for example, our business partners

 How Do We Use Your Information

 We use your Personal Information for various purposes described below, including to:

  • Treatment Activities:

To provide your client/patient with care and medical services, Cikitsa International will use the client/patient’s personal information. Additionally, we might give other medical professionals access to your PHI so they can treat them and offer healthcare services. Their PHI might be made available to Cikitsa International professionals so they can treat and provide medical services when utilizing our services, improving the continuity and quality of care we deliver. For instance, the provider will have access to the client/patients’ prior consultations when requestinga new one.

  • Payment Activities: 

Your personal information may be used by us and submitted to third parties for additional payment-related purposes. For example, to get reimbursed, we will submit a claim to your health insurer.

  • Healthcare Operations Purposes:

All personal information may be used and shared by Cikitsa International for business operations. For instance, to enhance medical services, offer customer support, carry out quality reviews, get in touch with you regarding the Services you have access to and health benefits, monitor the qualifications of providers, and other healthcare operations activities.

Besides, we may be permitted or required by law to use or share client/patients’ personal information without your authorization. These include the following:

For public health activities such as reporting certain diseases.

  •         For judicial and administrative proceedings such as responding to subpoenas.
  •         For users compensation claims.
  •         To prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat of harm to a person or the public.
  •         When required by law or for law enforcement purposes.

Disclosure of Information

In some cases, Included Health may give third parties access to some personal data to offer or enhance our application, website or services, including to assist with consumer marketing. When we do, we demand that the third parties manage the information in line with any relevant laws. We do not sell personal information and it won’t be given to outside parties for marketing purposes.

How do we keep your information safe

The security of any information you communicate to us cannot therefore be ensured or guaranteed, even though we make every effort to secure your personal information.

Also, please note that you are also responsible for the privacy and security of your data. You are in charge of maintaining the confidentiality of any password you choose to use to access our website or application. Please do not share your password with anyone.

 

Risk of sending unencrypted Email/SMS/text messages:

The emails we send you are secured because they are encrypted. Other people cannot be able to read and forward the emails we send you and the emails you send us. Emails we send you may include a wide range of identifiers that include but aren’t limited to your name, your email address, your visit number, your patient number, the date you used our service etc.

When you create an account on the App we ask you to give us your phone number. We send a one time password(OTP) to your inputted phone number and email address to verify and confirm.

The SMS/text messages we send you are secured because they are encrypted. Other people cannot be able to read any SMS/text messages we send you and any SMS/text messages you send us.

Risk of storing PHI (Protected Health Information) on your mobile

When you use the App or Website there is a risk that your PHI will be stored encrypted on your mobile. We take a variety of technical safeguards to make sure that your PHI does not leak from your mobile. In order to protect your data, you have to ensure that your account credentials are not shared with other individuals.

 

Risk of our systems getting hacked and compromised

We take a number of administrative, technical and physical safeguards to look after the PHI that we hold electronically on our servers. But despite these safeguards, no system is full-proof and we cannot guarantee that our systems and your PHI will not be hacked or otherwise compromised by unauthorized third parties.

 

Children’s Privacy

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use our application/website, and we do not intentionally collect any Personal Information from children under 12. Use of these applications/websites and any of its features by anyone under the age of 12 is prohibited.

This is to mention that, Cikitsa International keeps all relevant information in a local server safely kept in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Therefore, the chances of loss of data are less when data are kept in a local server safely.

To provide your client/patient with care and medical services, Cikitsa International will use the client/patient’s personal information. Additionally, we might give other medical professionals access to your PHI so they can treat them and offer healthcare services. Their PHI might be made available to Cikitsa International professionals so they can treat and provide medical services when utilizing our services, improving the continuity and quality of care we deliver. For instance, the provider will have access to the client/patients’ prior consultations when requesting a new one.

  • Payment Activities: 

Your personal information may be used by us and submitted to third parties for additional payment-related purposes. For example, to get reimbursed, we will submit a claim to your health insurer.

Responsibilities of CI in terms of services and applications

CI will assist the agent in getting the desired services from International hospitals/institutions at the quickest response time.

 

 

  1. Integration via APP/Portal

CI dedicated portal and app services are presented to the agent to ease the request process and share the real-time status of the services provided to the patients/individuals.

 

 

  1. Transparency

CI will share the service details availed by the patients in overseas hospitals with the agents for transparency reasons. CI will share any kind of information regarding the same with the agent on request.

                 

Responsibility of Agent:

 

  1. Communication

The agent is responsible for communicating all the available services provided by the CI. Considering that any sort of communication disruption may cause difficulties in providing quality services.

 

  1. Collect and share required information

Each service required some specific information/Data to process the files. Agents must share all required information and data for processing the file as per service request.

 

  1. Request via App and Portal

All service requests must be done via App/Portal. Any requests using any medium other than app will not be considered as proper requests.

 

 

Disclosure of Information

In some cases, Included Health may give third parties access to some personal data to offer or enhance our application, website or services, including to assist with consumer marketing. When we do, we demand that the third parties manage the information in line with any relevant laws. We do not sell personal information and it won’t be given to outside parties for marketing purposes.

This Privacy Policy solely applies to data we gather via the application/website. Information gathered by any third party is not covered by this privacy policy. The security of any information you communicate to us cannot therefore be ensured or guaranteed, even though we make every effort to secure your personal information.

Also, please note that you are also responsible for the privacy and security of your data. You are in charge of maintaining the confidentiality of any password you choose to use to access our website or application. Please do not share your password with anyone.

Risk of sending unencrypted Email/SMS/text messages:

The emails we send you are secured because they are encrypted. Other people cannot be able to read and forward the emails we send you and the emails you send us. Emails we send you may include a wide range of identifiers that include but aren’t limited to your name, your email address, your visit number, your patient number, the date you used our service etc.

When you create an account on the App we ask you to give us your phone number. We send a one time password(OTP) to your inputted phone number and email address to verify and confirm.

The SMS/text messages we send you are secured because they are encrypted. Other people cannot be able to read any SMS/text messages we send you and any SMS/text messages you send us.

Risk of storing PHI (Protected Health Information) on your mobile

When you use the App or Website there is a risk that your PHI will be stored encrypted on your mobile. We take a variety of technical safeguards to make sure that your PHI does not leak from your mobile. In order to protect your data, you have to ensure that your account credentials are not shared with other individuals.

Risk of our systems getting hacked and compromised

We take a number of administrative, technical and physical safeguards to look after the PHI that we hold electronically on our servers. But despite these safeguards, no system is full-proof and we cannot guarantee that our systems and your PHI will not be hacked or otherwise compromised by unauthorized third parties.

Children’s Privacy
